Chromatography resin refers to the functionalized, porous beads that serve as the stationary phase in liquid chromatography, a critical technique for separating, purifying, and analyzing complex mixtures in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and research. These resins are engineered with specific chemical ligands covalently attached to a rigid, inert bead matrix (often agarose, methacrylate, or polystyrene).
